INCREASED FINANCE.
W AITEMAT A POWER BOARD. '"The board is still keeping up its standard and the returns still keep ahead," said the chairman, Mr. S. E. j Kennings, at a meeting of the Waitemata. Electric Power Board yesterday afternoon, when a report, presented by the acting-manager, Mr. J. R. Miller, stated that the gross sales of current for the two months ended May 31 amounted to £29,747, an increase of £5155, as compared with the «amc period of last year. After pointing to a general tendency for to increase, the chairman added that the growth of the board's business was very satisfactory. Mr. J. Guiniven said that growth had been due to the Government's housing policy. The chairman replied that it was very pleasing, wherever it came from.
