The skirt is very wide, and, to give a grown-up touch, there is a jewelled belt that nips in the waistline. Lana Turner owns a two-piece linen dress that features a collarless white blouse with three pearl buttons down the front. The skirt is gathered and | has panels of red, white and blue. Lana completes h«?r ensemble with wedgesoled playshoeii in matching colours. Ann Sheridan recently bought a print dress—brown on a beige ground—showi'lg little galloping horses straining to a finish. In keeping with the mood of the dress is her swagger coat in brown corduroy and a corduroy turban. For 'beach and resort wear Ilona Massey wears a one-piece pyjama outfit in moss-green crepe. Highlighting the full trousers are tho popular pegtop pockets that jut out from the hipe. The bodice is tailored and ha 6 a four-button closing down the front. Miss Massey ties a bright sash in floral print around her waist, which matches the lining of the hood. The latter may either' be worn over the hair or hang cowl-like down the back.

To highlight a plain black dress, Myrna Loj' wear.s a white turban fashioned of lightweight crocheted yarn. The hat lias an embroidered flower motif covering the white background. In the centre of each flower is a cluster of bright gold sequins.—N.A.N.A.
