THIRD ECHELON.
MEN FOR THE SOUTH.
BURNHAM AND TRENTHAM.
DEPARTURE NEXT WEEK.
In addition to the li ? t of men published in yesterday's "Star," who will proceed to Papakura camp next week, several hundred men from No. 1 (Auckland) Area have received notices that they will be required to train in Burnhani and Trentham mobilisation camps. The city area was called on to supply an extra 100 men and No. 4 (Hamilton) Area 60 men in order to make up the deficiency in the quota for the No. 3 (Whangarci) Area. Owing- to a lastminute call for reinforcements to fill the Southern Military District's quota, No. 1 Area was unable to draft about 180 men to the arms of the service for which they had expressed preference. The men whose names appear below will be proceeding to Burnham and Trentham camps for the Third Echelon and reinforcements, and a further 100 have still to be selected for Papakura. It is pointed out by area headquarters, that various alterations may yet have to be made in the lists. * i
For Burnham Camp. A special train leaving Auckland at about 11 p.m. will convey the following men to Biiriihani and they will parade at the Drill Hall, Rutland Street, on Tuesday at 10 p.m.— 3KD REINFORCEMENTS, INFANTRY BATTALION.
