SHIP'S DESERTER.
ONE MONTH IN PRISON. Pleading guilty to deserting from the Akaroa at Lyttelton, Richard Henry Medley, seaman, aged 35. was sentenced to one month's imprisonment to-day by Mr. J. Morling. S.M. An ollicer of the shipping company said accused had caused considerable trouble since joining the ship and the company <lii! not want him buck.
