WRESTLING OPENS.
NEW SEASON'S PROMISE. The Auckland Wrestling Association if> looking forward this year to its biggest season yet. It is on that expectation that, in conjunction with the Dominion Wrestling I'nion. it has given bis guarantees to a strong team of Americans and Canadians to visit here. The first members of that team. Chief Little Wolf, John Kntan, Joe Corbett and Dick Raines, have already arrived, and. in the first match of the season. Little Wolf will be matched again«t the New Zealand champion J.ofty Blotnlield. The match will be hold in the Auckland Town Hall next Monday night and it should provide the A.W.A. with the first foundation for its hopes. Little Wolf as colourful us ever, and with a further list of notable victorie* to his name, will prove a tough opponent for the New Zealander. who has not had a match since the season closed last year. I-ofty. however, has never been in better shape. The military lif o agrees with him. and he claims that the Chief will have to look to his laurels when he steps Into the ring next Monday.
