SPLENDID JUMPER.

WAVERLEY CANDIDATE. PROMENADE GOES WELL. DYNASTY AND REHEARSAL. The excellent entries received for the Waveiley Club's meeting to-morrow week suggests that the club will ecore a big success over the fixture (says our Wanganiii correspondent). Particular interest will centre on the jumping events, as both the hurdle and the steeplechase will be contested by big fields, which include a number likely to play a prominent part in jumping races during the winter. The weather was fine yesterday morning for training operations, but Xo. 1 grass track was a trifle on the heavy side after rain

overnight

Dynasty (W. Kaynen and Rehearsal IK. ( hote) were associated over a. mile, but they were under restraint all the way, t.iking 1.37 for the last seven furlongs. Dynasty ie to run in the Hack Cup at Waveiley, in which he has 8.12. The Posterity gelding has done well since racing at Awapuni and should be at Kis best on Saturday week.

Rehearsal is to contest the principal event at Waverley and will be ridden by K. Chote. The racing he has had recently has improved the Limond gelding, and he should earn some money in the near future.

Amigo put in a good working gallop over seven furlongs. The Beau Pere gelding had an attack of kidney trouble early in the week. l>ut appears to have thrown thin off. and all going well in the interim lift will probably fulfil his engagement in the Bewley M.Miioriiil Handicap at W.nerley. in which he has the solid impost of !).7, bilt. if .-i.ntod. will not want for friends.

Promenade, a candidate for the WaverIcy steeplechase, put in a couple of-rounds. sprinting the last two furlongs in 275. The Resinous gelding is a splendid jumper, and he should pay his way over the sticks this season.

Uolden Pam slipped over half a mile in 50 4-,')s. doing it well within herself. Her mission at Waveiley will be the highweight event, and if she does her best on the day, the Lackham mare will be handy at the finish.

Two candidates for the Maiden at Wavorley—Early Tide and Siegall—were companions over five furlongs, in which Siegall stayed on the better to finish three lengths ahead in 1.5.

Amatory (K. Chote) was not asked to do his bast in a spin over six furlongs, which he left behind in 1.20. The Kiosk gelding is engaged in both the highweifrln and the hack cup at Waverley. He won the latter event last year. Lord Cavendish figures among the entrants for the sprint event at Waverley, but he is an unlikely starter. He has been given a good deal of work about the hills recently, and this appears to be doins him good, but the Beau Pere gelding is not likely to be ready to race until the Manawatu or Wanganui winter meetings.

Homily lias freshened up nicely since racing at Awapuni, and she will be seen out at the Kgniont meeting next month. This morning the Posterity mare put in a good working gallop over seven furlongs and was eager to increase the pace. Curtail looks all the better for hia racing at Awapuni, and it is intended to give him a rare in the Rangitane Plate, a maiden, nt the Mnnawntu winter meeting. The Posterity gelding hit out well in runnine half a mile in 53%s yesterday under a strong pull.
