MEN OF KENT.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS. There was a good attendance of members at the 12th annual meeting of tiuAuckland branch of the Association of Men of Kent and Kentish Men held in the Fabian Club, the president, Mr. (J. S. Baker, presiding. The annual report showed that a satisfactory year had been experienced, the various functions beintr well supported. As a special patriotic gesture the members had agreed to assist occasionally at St. Matthews Welcome Club.
Officers elected for the forthcoming year were: Hon. life patron. Mr. A. Hinge, of Tunetall. Kent; president, Mr. B. S. Baker; a-ctive vice-president, "\lr. E. W. Robbing; hon. vice-presidents, Mrs F. H. Eady, G. Hatcher, Mr. ,7. H. Westbrook, and Mr. A. J. Coppiiis; hon. auditors, Mr. J. W. Jenks and another to be appointed by the committee; hen. secretary, Mrs. F. C. Webster; assistant secretary. Miss M. Piper; hoiu treasurer, Mr. J. Robinson; committee, Mrs. (;. >'. Baker, Mr. H. W. Robinson, Mrs. B. .1. Blackmail. Mrs. L. P. Jones, Airs. E. W. Robbins, Mr. A. E. Hole, Mr. A. C. .Stanliridge and Mr. X. Fraser.
The retiring member of the committee, also the retiring auditor, Mrs. A. Forbes, were socially thanked for their past services. At the conclusion of the business, a short programme was presented by Mrs. A. Wallis, this including songs bv Mrs. Wallis, accompanied by Mrs. B. Payne, Mr. Robbins, accompanied by Mrs. Robbins; solo dances by Miss* Euni<v Stanbridge, and a playlet, in which several members took part.
