FOUR GABIES TO BE PLAYED AT CARLAW PARK. Advice was received at the meeting of the management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening that owing to the effects of vaccination a team from the forces at Papakura would not be available next Saturday. Aβ a result Ponsonby, which was to oppose the Army, will have a bye. Richmond and Papakura will now meet at (Jarlaw Park instead of at Papakura.

After discussion the notice of motion proposed by Mr. T. Davis providing for club officials to be eligible for appointment ae Auckland selectors was carried.

It was announced that Uie senior reserve grade championship would start on Saturday week.

Mr. E. Chapman reported that the number of junior team nominations slightly exceeded the number last year. Arrangements had been made for registrations and the weighing-in of players and teams as usual. Mr. R. Doble said the New Zealand T/oague had taken, up the question of the eligibility of F. Tottey to play in Auckland with the Mount Albert Club. So far. said Mr. Hoble, no cable reply has been received from the English league as to the actual position of his clearance.

Two prominent players. C. Petersen, Ponsonby, and B. Donaldson. Mount Albert, appeared before the committee iu support of an appeal against the refusal of their respective clubs to permit transfers to the Nortli Shore Club. The appeal yras supported by the North Shore Club representatives, while the Mount Albert Club opposed tho transfer of Donaldson. The whole matter was taken in committee. The chairman stated subsequently that the question had been deferred.
