ROAD BOARD AFFAIRS.
MOUNT BOSXIU DISTRICT. Matters affecting the district were discussed at last night's meeting of the Mount Roskill Road Board. Mr. C. M. McCullough presided. A deputation from Aldersgate Road ratepayers was heard in connection with the rough surface of the thoroughfares. 'It was stated by the chairman that the question of making improvements would be considered when the year's estimates came before the board. Xo promise could be made, but, if at all possible, the road surface would receive attention.
The building inspector, Mr. H. L. Jessop, reported that IK buil<lin<rs were in course of erection in the district. Up to April 12 of the current year l:)(i'j drivers licenses had been issued as compared with 1807 for the same period last year.
