APPEAL TO PUBLIC.
THE WAIKINO MYSTERY. WIDE SEARCH FOR CAR. i ■ (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTOX, this day. Although the police are still searching for the car or truck believed to have been involved in the Waikino mvsteiv * fortnight ago to-night, when Lloyd Moran (15) and Mrs. Alice Hamilton (27) were killed, no fresh developments have been reported. A large force in the aikino district is still tracing all ol"! and the search is being conducted in * painstaking and thorough manner. Superintendent G W. Lopdell is still in charge of the case, and he stated today that much interesting and helping information was being handed in bv the public. He appealed for all information possible, as time was against the police. Inspector G. B. Edwards, of Gisbonic, who was recently appointed to Hamilton, will arrive on Thursday, and after Mr- Ixipdell has handed over control of the district he is expected to leave to take charge at Wellington on Saturdty.
