WAR STRAINS CBEDIT. LONDON, April 14. The annual report of the Reichsbank states that the bank's total assets increased since last year by 3,476,000.000 reichsmarks to 12.610.000.000 r.m. The note circulation rose by 3,575,000,000 r.m. to 11.(98,000.000 r.m. Tile whole circulation of currency increased by 4,114 000 000 r.m. to 14.502.000.000 r.m. ' ' Die report adds that the home and foreign value of Germany's currency was stabilised by wage and price control, the regulation of foreign currency, export trade and .raw materials, and the control of investments and issue of shares. The mosey market was so undisturbed that the closing of the exchange was unnecessary, as in 1914. It adds that the outbreak of war very severely tested the German credit machine.
