A. D. BROWN'S CONDUCT IN EASTER TENNIS. DECISION OF COMMITTEE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 16. The conduct of A. D. Brown in the final of the mixed doubles at the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association's Kaster tournament was considered at a meeting of the association's management committee last evening. It was decided to write to Brown censuring him for his conduct. A letter of apology from Brown was discussed for some time in committee, and the following motion was pnssed and reported in open meeting:—"That his letter be received and his apology accepted and that he be informed that the committee takes a serious view of his behaviour, and that any repetition of such conduct will not be countenanced. As a leading player the committee looks to him to set an example to the younger players." The matter first came before the committee on April 1 when, after a letter from the umpire controlling the match had been read, and discussion had been held in committee, the comanittee decided to ask Brown to comment on statements concerning his conduct in the mixed doubles final at the Easter tournament.
