WON A DOUBLE.
Stabilise, a double winner at the recent Greymouth meeting, is a three-year-old [gelding by Robespierre from the appro- | priately-named Stability, by British [Empire from Currency, by Paper Money from Kilroy. by Kilbroney from Orange Pippin, by William the Third. Currency was raced by Mr. H. A. Knight, and later produced Solvent, one of the fastest sprinters ever trained by P. D. Jones. Stabilise is trained by A. MeAulay, at Riccarton, who unfortunately was not able to see the gelding race as he suffered a broken leg the day l>efore the meeting opened. Stabilise appeared aa an acceptor for the Trial Stakes at Oamaru, but after his two wins on the Coast he is not now eligible to compete.
