ARMY SISTERS.
ANNUAL MEETING. MEMORIAL FUND GROWS. There was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Returned Army Nursing Sisters' Association held at the Overseas Clubrooms, the president, Mrs. P. J. North, presiding. A minute's silence was first observed in memory of members who had passed away during the year.
A report was presented by Mrs. L. R. Haworth, hon. secretary, showing a successful year. Several families of returned soldiers has been assisted in a practical way. A substantial amount had been raised for the Nurses Memorial Fund. It was decided to make a monetary donation to the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association.
The following were elected to office for the forthcoming year:—President, Mrs. P. ,T. North; life vice-president, Miss A. Bagley; hon. secretary, Miss C. Cherry; hon. treasurer, Mrs. H. Spencer; executive committee, Mrs. B. Gibbons, Mrs. F. de Jaunay, Mrs. C. Taylor, Mrs. G. Reed, Mrs. A. M. Clarke, Mrs. L. R. Haworth, Miss R. Mirams, Miss K. Wright, Mrs. E. A. Grant. Miss A. Keith, Miss M. Early, Miss R. Kelly, and Mrs. F. C. Webster (lion, rejwrter) ; delegates to National Council of Women, Mrs. North and Miss E. Bouskill.
Prior to the serving of afternoon tea Miss Baglev, on behalf of the members, presented both Mrs. North and Mrs. Haworth with a gift, making appreciative reference to their services on behalf of the association, and Miss Mirams presented each with a floral spray.
