ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.

EPSOM DIVISION FABEWELL,

A special meeting of the Epsom division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade was held last evening to farewell Mr. J. Wateon Gumming, superintendent of the division. Mr. dimming, who saw service in the last war, has again volunteered and leaves for canip next week. The officers present were the chaplain of the Venerable Order of St. John, the Rev. C. E. Moreton, and Mre. Moreton, district officer C. Lindsay, and ambulance officer J. Hughes. On behalf of the division Mr. Hushes presented Mr. Cuniming with an illuminated address and on behalf of the Discharged Prisoners' Aid Society Mr. Moreton presented Mr. Cummins with a soldier'e shaving and brush set in appreciation of his assistance with the first aid classes at the prison. Mr. Cuinming has demonstrated at, and aseieted with, these classes for many years. Mr. Cummins presented a cup to the division, to be held by the member showing the greatest individual efficiency. This cup, and one already given by Mr. E. r>. Kohn in appreciation of servic-ee rendered by the division after an accident, were formally received by ambulance officer JHughes.
