QUESTIONS.
At the present moment several questions are prominently before the public mind, and our civic authorities ire bound by existing laws to act against the feelings of a great majority. Would it not he wise at this juncture to take a referendum of the public bodies throughout New Zealand whether they are in favour of:—(a) Conscription, yes or no; (b) ban on Communists and Communistic literature, yes or no; (c) employment of enemy aliens on our public work* or in public departments, yes or no ? A Tote of the authorities would settle the above question* and Govemor-in-Council could carry out the wish of the majority. MAORILANDER.
