NEW 1.C.1. PLANT
The ammonia synthesis plant being erected by Imperial Chemical Industries of Australia and New Zealand, Limited, at Deer Park (Victoria), is expected to be in operation in two or three months, the director® state in their report for the year ended September 30 la:*.
The outbreak of war delayed shipments of plant from England to complete both this and the alkali project at Osborne (S.A.). However, the installation of the soda-ash plant, the major portion of the unit at Osborne, was completed in March, and ancillary units should be in operation later in the year.
