FERRIER TAKES PART. (Received 2 p.m.) AUGUSTA (Ga.>, April 7. The Masters" golf tournament at Augusta was won by Demaret with a total of 280. After "the third round he was one stroke ahead of Lloyd Mangrum, who started with a 64, their aggregates being 209 and 210. J. Ferrier, Australia, finished with a round of 74 to make his total 296. Critics consider that he is liable to cause an upset at any tournament when in his best form. He will continue hLi tour and play at Chicago, Detroit and the Metropolitan Open at Grand Kapids, New York, on May 24. Mangrum finished second with 284 (third round 74) and IJ. Xelson third, 280 (third round 70).
