FRENCH TANKER.
Abandoned After Torpedo Attack. TAKEN IN TOW BY WARSHIP. (Received 2 p.m.) LISBON*. April 7. The small Portuguese motor ship Corvo started to tow to port the French tanker Picardic of 8000 tons, which was abandoned in the Atlantic after a torpedo attack. The Picardie is not listed in Lloyd's because she was purchased from Norway on the outbreak of war. A French warship later met the Corvo and took the tanker in tow.
