Big Kiver Gold Mines, Lrtd.—Report for week ended April 4 :—No. 5 level, north etope: This stope is becoming very short, only about loft below Xo. 4 level remaining. The stone is 2ft Bin wide and 20ft long. Xo. 6 level. South block : Commenced opening out on the north side of the winze— stone 2ft wide. I«eve] advanced Oft, total 33ft; boulders of quartz continue in track formation. The shaft has reached Xo. 7 level, and the >penlng chamber has been set in position. Battery : 20 tons of stone has been sent to the battery. YIELDS OP COMPANIES. Mount Morgan (Queensland). — Four weeks ended April 3: Ore mined, 84,952 tons; ore treated, 53.550 tons. Sulphide mill tailings retreated through oxide mill. 38,420 tons. Estimated production, gold 54440z, Including 2370z from clean-up: copper, 338 tons, including five tons from copper precipitation. During the period 300 tons of blister copper were produced from concentrates. Xew River (West Coast). —520z from 9300 yards in 125 hours. White's Electric (West Coast). — 250 i In 115 hours.
