PATRIOTIC APPEAL. WELFARE OF SERVICES. DONATIONS STJXIT ARRIVING. The total of £7<i.U!l was collected tip till Wednesday. April :i. 0 h behalf of the Fighting Services Welfare Appeal, conducted by the Y.M.C.A. and Salvation Army as the collecting authorities for the National Patriotic Fund Board. Returns from til! collecting centres were taken into consideration, and a number 01 towns have still to make their reports. The above total is exclusive of the generous donation of £10.000 by -Mr. T. 11. Lowry. Hawke's Bav, for the establishment of a Y.M.C.A. hut overseas. Sir James Grose, Colonel Kemp and Mr. P. E. Pattrick, the lion, treasurers, have forwarded cheques to the amount of £42,r>00 to the National Patriotic Fund Board, representing two instalments of proceeds banked to the credit of the fund.
