RADIANT LIVING.
A social evening held at the Harmony Hall, Wellesley Street West, was well attended by membere and friends of the S.S.R.L. Mrs. W. Harvey presided. The varied programme and excellence of the items rendered kept attention and interest well sustained. Miss Joan Sutherland conducted the stating of "My Purpose," while Mr. E. P. Hillary conducted the community singing. Songs by Miss Ida Walker and Mise Joan Warren were much enjoyed, as also were pianoforte solos by Miss Claire Downey and Mr. Hubbard. Mr. Gard and Miss Xew'born sang in several delightful numljers. Supper was in the charge of Mrs. Begovich and dancing concluded a very pleasant evening.
In aid of young mothers and lialiies a garden fete will be held to-morrow in the grounds of St. Vincent's Home of Compassion, Poneonby. This is the first function to be held in the new home.
