The general effect of the patents, designs and trade marks convention order, 1940, which is announced in tonight's Gazette, is to enable New Zealand to carry out obligations under the international convention dealing with "industrial property." Righte provided 'by New Zealand law are made available in a more effective manner to member countries of the international convention, to which New Zealand is also a party.
