JUNIORS IN SENIOR LEAGUE COMPETITIONS.
The junior board of the Auckland Rugby League last evening confirmed the appointment of Mr. K. Chapman as chairman in succession to Mr. L , . Wi!ki«». Mr. C. Howe was olecfpri deputy, and Mr. Iran Stonex grounds alloca-tar and assistant secretary. A welcome was • extended to a new member. Mr. G. Batchrior, and a further ballot, as a result of a tie for ninth member of the commtttee. resulted in the re-election of Mr. W. Berber. Opinion was expressed that the rhanjrc would be too detrimental to junior clubs and organisations. The board approved a proposal for the recognition of an official organiser for junior clubs. It was decided to call for grade team nominations by the 16th. the tentative date for tbe opening of the Junior eeaeon being April 27.
