PONTIFICAL MASS.
OFFICIAL RESERVATIONS. IN ST. PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL. • The solemn Pontifical Mass of Requiem in St. Patrick's Cathedral on Saturday morning will be of a public character, and seats will be reserved for State, Consular, civic and other representatives. It had been arranged by Bishop Liston that Mass should be sung in the cathedral on the day following the death of Mr. Savage, in the expectation that the State funeral would be in Wellington, but, in consequence of the Government's arrangements, this plan was abandoned, and the Mass on Saturday will be the official" ecclesiastical occasion.
