SKIING IN CANADA.
> —— SPORT MOST POPUIAB. BANFF, February 24. Skiing has become one of the most popular winter sports in Canada, with Canadian skiers usually taking high positions in international competitions. Ski- ing is thought to have been first introduced into Canada by Sweden and Norwegians, who came to the Dominion to help in the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway , in the 'eighties. A pair of hand-made skis, recently discovered in an early construction camp in the Rocky Mountains, and apparently the property of one of the early pioneers of this section of the country, have been given the position of honour at a ski museum recently opened here.
