Heavy Easter Rail Traffic In England. RESTRICTED USE OF CABS. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, March 24. The Easter holidays in England Iwßan with a great exodus from the tities to the country and seaside, almost similar to peacetime traffic. All the main line railways generally equalled normal Easter figures, and in some cases exceeded them. The usual crowds of holiday-makers were augmented by large numbers of men on leave from the forces and relatives visiting evacuated children. The exodus from London continued to-day, resulting in the two main lines serving mainly the southern and western areas, breaking previous Easter traffic records. Road traffic continued below normal and the increased railway traffic is sittributed to people entraining who otherwise would have used cars.
