RECORD DAY.
AT EXHIBITION. WELLINGTON CROWDED. FINE EASTER WEATHER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The huge influx of visitors who came to Wellington for the Easter holidays have had the advantage of splendid weather. Saturday and Sunday were ideal, without a cloud in the sky all day yesterday, and no wind. The weather today is again good. The exhibition had its busiest day on Saturday, with an attendance of 62,.j68 as against the previous best of 48,000 visitors on the opening day. About 6000 people attended a runrise service held by ministers of combined denominations on the summit of Mount Victoria yesterday, and church services later were attended by large congregations in which strangers figured largely. The railway has had a very busy time with both inward and outward traffic, and it is estimated that ten trains from Auckland, foar -mm Napier and four from Xew Plymouth, on Fridav alone, brought 7200 visitors. Had it not Wen for arrangements entered into with private people for the accommodation of visitors during the Kxhibition period, it would have been impossible for .everyone to have found shelter. Motor camps and hotels are fully occupied. Though the Kxhibition is the main attraction, various resorts are l>eiii« well patronised, and the observation buses have been having a busy time.
