COPPER MINING REVIVAL.
a , ADELAIDE, March 12. Copper mining, which has vielded £.33,000,000 of South Australia's total mineral wealth of £00,000,000 since IS4O, but lias declined in recent years, may experience a moderate, revival as a result Of war-time enhancement of demand and values. There was a boom in copper mining in the last war, and supporters of various possible copper mining fields tiro urging tho Government to fake advantage of tho rise in copper prices by opening up virgin or disused mines. Kapiuida, the Hurra, and Moonta were the. great copper centres of bygone years in South Australia. Most of the miners were Cornishmen, Moonta especially being noted for its Cornish carols and Cornish pasties.
