U.S. May Discuss Scheme With Britain. TRANSFERRING SHIPPING. WASHINGTON, March 22. An ambitious sf'heme for the exchange of trade routes which the Maritime Commission is considering may soon be taken up officially with Britain"
The United States has over SO ships idle as a result of the Neutrality Act. Britain is believed to have 12U trading from the North Atlantic to the Far East, Australia and New Zealand.
It is hoped to persuade Britain to transfer her tonnage, to the Atlantic and permit the Americans temporarily to take over the Pacific mutes.
