HAD DETONATORS.
SHIP'S FIREMAN GAOLED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON/, this day. Six months' gaol was imposed bv Mr. Ltixford, S.M., on Joseph .McCarthy, ship's fireman, aged 17 years, who was found t>y night without lawful excuse in possession of housebreaking implements. The magistrate convicted and discharged accused on n charge of the theft of £2 from a ship's till. It was stated that accused was arrested for drunkenness, and that detonators were found in his possession.
