NURSES' BOARD.
MR. W. WALLACE RETIRES. TRIBUTES TO SERVICES. j After six years' service as the hospital boards' representative on the Xurscs and Midwivcs' Registration Board, Mi. William Wallace has retired from tiie position. A former chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, Mr. Wallace has occupied the position he is now relinquishing since it was created. Prior to that the board has consisted entirely of representatives of the nursing profession and tiie Health Department.
Mr. W. Wallace. At a recent meeting of the board in Wellington tributes were paid to Mr. Wallace's work. His long experience of the activities of hospital boards and of] the administration of a large hospital, at a time when matters in regard to training were largely ill the formative stage, it was slated, had been of incalculable benefit. Many of the important decisions made by the board, it was added, had been influenced by his advice.
Mr. Wallace will be succeeded by Mr. J. W. Dove, chairman of the Otago Hospital Board, and president of the New Zealand Hospital Boards' Association.
