RUGBY LEAGUE.
JUNIOR BOARD AFFAIRS, ELECTION OP OFFICERS. At the annual meeting of the junior management of the Auckland Rugby league last evening, the chairman. Mr. E. Chapman. expressed confidence in the carrying on of the 10-10 competitions. The lengthy report staling that over 1000 participated in.the grades paid tribute to •the co-operation of clubs and olayers and to the good work of the management, headed by Mr. D. Wilkle, whose temporary retirement owing to departure from Auckland was regretted. Reference was made to the tine parade on the occasion of the farewell of the New Zealand team at Carlaw Park. The season showed that the juniors would play no inconsiderable part in the continued success of the The postal ballot of clubs resulted In the election of the following committee : Messrs. E. Chapman, C. Howe, I. Stonex. C. Hopkinson, M. E. McNamara. T. Carey, T. Mcintosh and O. Batchelor. Owing to a tie the names of three candidates will be resubmitted for the election of the ninth member. Mr. J. Short was re-elected delegate of the Referees' Association.
It was decided to hold a conference with club delegate* on April '1 to dtecuss arrangements to meet prevailing conditions.
