STORTFORD LODGE ENTRY. (By Telegraph.— l'ress Association.) HASTINGS, Thursday. With a large yarding of fat cattle, the market at Stortford Lodge to-day was quiet but steady. The entry of store cattle was negligible, no prices being worth quotation. The store sheep market was also quiet . and showed little alteration. Few really good lambs were on offer, pricee consequently being low. A number of pens of good quality ewes attracted more attention. Quality in the fat sheep pens gave butollers a fair range from whit-h to choose, the market being steady. Fat cattle: Extra prime finished heifers, £0 10/ to £10; medium, £8 to £9; lighter from £6 17/6; heavy quality cows, to £9 10/; medium, £7 10/ to £8 13/; vealers, tops, £2 5/ to £3; lighter, from £1 10/. Store sheep: Small wether lambe, 8/ to 9/1; medium grown 12/ to 13/6; heavy shorn wether lambs, 14/9 to 18/4; two-tooth ewes, 21/ to 24/; four and sixtooth, to 19/; mixed-age ewes, 16/ to 16/9; wethers, small-framed but forward, 17/9. Fat sheep: Lambe, tops, 23/ to 25/; others, 19/6 to 21/3; ewes, tops, 18/ to 19/9; medium, 16/9 to 17/; plain, 12/ to 15/; wethers, 20/ to 23/4; others 18/ to 19/.
