ENGLISH SEAMAN KILLED.
CAR'S CRASH INTO BRIDGE. S — (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, Thursday. One man was killed and another seriously injured when a car crashed into a bridge at Gleniti, about four miles from the town, about seven o'clock tonight. The car hit the right-hand approach to the bridge, bounced off, turned over and slid across the road until the wheels were against the side of the bridge on the opposite side. The two men were members of the crew of an overseas vessel.
The man who was killed was Mr. J. Finch, aged 21, of London, and the man injured is Mr. Michael Byrne.
