SCHOOLS WILL CLOSE.
'BOARD'S CONFIRMATION. COUNTRY CHILDREX IXCLUDED. The Auckland Education Board today confirmed the decision reached tentatively yesterday to close schools in the city and suburbs on Friday. It was also decided that if country children wished to visit the city on that day they would be allowed to do so. The chairman, Mr. W. J. Campbell. also announced that all the Auckland Roman Catholic schools had agreed to close on Friday. At a meeting of the Auckland Grammar Schools' Board this afternoon it was decided to grant a holiday on Friday.
