SUGGESTIONS TO MR. NASH.

COMMERCE DEPUTATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A private deputation from the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of Xew Zealand waited on the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Xash, to-day, and discussed with him various matters arising out of the recent annual conference of the association. The deputation was headed bv the president, Mr. W. F. Mac Gibbon, of Christchureh. The subjects discussed included defence, the monetary svstem and the reserve bank; the cost of public works, measures for securing the maximum primary production, modification of the import licensing system, the hospital rate in relation to the social security scheme, and the Tasman air service. Mr. Xash indicated . Government policy on certain of these matters and undertook that the others would be considered.
