With Willie Win, Capricious, Settlement and Night Dress as its representatives Riccarton stables hold a strong hand in the Dunedin Cup, a race that has been won many times by horses from this centre. Norseman and Thermidor, from further south, are form horses that have raced well in good company during recent months. Willie Win shaped, in winning «h(j Midsummer Handicap at Riccarton, as though he is back to his best form, and *n he looks improved by the race, may tarry on the triumphant march of Riccarton horses, who won half the races on the programme on the first day last year, and might easily repeat the performance to-morrow.
