Dalgety and Company, Limited report that at their Ohinewai stock sale there was a good yarding of -cattle, which sold under active competition at late market rates. Fat Shorthorn cows. £6 15/ to £7 10/; heavy fat Jersey cows, £5 15/ to £6 7/6; light fat Jersey cows, £4 15/ to £5 7/6; heavy boners, £4 to £4 12/6; other boners, £2 to £3 17/6, according to weight and condition: potter bulls, £6 5/ to £8; Shorthorn and Shorthorn cross 18-month steers, £3 10/ to £3 16/; steer calves, 30/ to £2. LAMBS FIRM AT CAMBRIDGE. » Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report that at their Cambridge sale a good yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward. The advertised entry of two-tooth ewes, although being well grown and in good order, were passed in below vendor's expectations. Lambs w-ere keenly competed for at recent values. Fat and boner cattle sold up to late rates. Heavy prime! fat lambs, £1 5/6 to £1 8/9; medium, £1 2/6 to £1 3/6; medium fat ewes, 14/3; light-weight fat heifers. £6 1/ to £7; medium fat heifers and Polled Angus cows, £6 14/ to £7 2/; fat Jersey cows, £4 18/ to £5 16/; heavy boners, £3 18/ to £4 12/; medium, £2 10/ to £3 13/; light, £1 15/ to £2 6/; heavy potter bulls. £7 to £8 15/; medium, £5 12/ to £6 18/.
