Mr. and Mrs. J. Sutherland Ross, of Dunedin, are visiting Auckland. Mr. A. G. Osborne, M.P., will leave for Wellington by the Limited express this evening. Mr. F. W. Schramm, M.P., returned from Wellington by the Limited express' this morning. Mr. J. G. Barclay, M.P. for Marsden, arrived from Wellington by the Limited express tins morning. Mr. A. B. Ackland, assistant director of agriculture in Fiji, is paying a holiday visit to New Zealand. Mr. D. A. Kutler, manager for the Union Steam Ship Company, Limited, at Suva, has arrived in Auckland on furlough. Mr. Jacob Elliott, a member of the Railway Appeal Board, will leave for Wellington by the Limited express this ■evening. Lord Waleran, who was aide-de-camp to Sir Charles Fergusson when he was Governor-General of New Zealand, has joined the Royal Air Force. Mr. B. H. Mason, who left the Dominion in November to take up a science scholarship in Norway, has arrued at Oslo. He will be with Professor V. M. Goldsc-hmidt, of the Oslo Geological Museum. Mr. H. IT. Dobie, branch manager in Dunodin of the l T nion Steam Ship Company for the past two and a half years, has taken over the management of the company's office in Christchmch. Messrs. F. L. Casbolt and P. E. McGregor, members of the Christchmch Photographic Society, have had prints accepted iu the second international salon at Debrecen, Hungary. Mr. Casbolt's work is represented also in the exhibition at Zagreb, Yugoslavia.
