AUSTRALIAN BISHOP ARRIVES.
The Most. Rev. T. M. Fox, D.D., Bishop of Wilcania-Forbee, New South Wales, k at present in Auckland. He is on his way to Wellington to attend the National Centennial Eucharietic Congrees. He is accompanied bv his secretary, the Rev. Father P. S." Carmine. Bishop Fox has not been in New Zealand since the diamond jubilee of Archbishop Redwood in 1934. _
The Wilcania-Forbes diocese, with headquarters at Broken Hill, has an area of approximately 160,000 square miles. Thie is greater than the Dominion of New Zealand, which has an area of 103,415 square miles, and gives an idea of the country to be traversed in the administration of the affaire of the Catholic Church in Aus-
tralia. "My district is largely pastoral," said Bishop sox this morning. "The population is scattered. I have the township of Bourke in my diocese and there are many other places made famous by Banjo Paterson."
Australia will also be represented at the Eucharistic Congress by his Excellency Archbishop Panico, Apostolic Delegate, who comes in his capacity as Papal Legate; the Most Rev. J. Duhig, D.D., Archbishop of Brisbane, and the Most Rev. D. Mannix, D.D., LL.D., Archbishop of Melbourne.
