TOUR OF AUSTRALIANS.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. J. Walsh, H. Clayton and K. Stewart, Australian cyclists, made their first appearance in Christchurch on their New Zealand tour lust night. Walsh captured the crowd's enthusiasm with brilliant sprinting, the local competitors being unable to offer serious competition to him or to Stewart. Clayton was not in form ami withdrew from the later events. Walsh won the mile invitation scratch race in 2.U 3-o, with Stewart second.
