Talent Of Country Is Fully Mobilised. SAFEGUARDING INVENTORS. British Official Wireless. (Received 1 p.m.) RUGBY, January 19. The importance of scientific research in war, and the methods of testing the value of inventions offered to the defence services, were discussed in the House of Lords yesterday. The Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence, Lord Chatficld, gave an assurance that the scientific talent of the country was fully mobilised. Moreover, there had been a concerted | mutual exchange of scientific information between the British and French authorities. Steps were being taken with regard to inventors to safeguard their positions while the Government took advantage of their brains.
