MATINEE TROTTING.
AUCKLAND MEETING. ENTRIES CLOSE THURSDAY. The annual summer •matinee trotting meeting of the Auckland Owners, Trainers and Breeders' Association will be held at Alexandra Park, Epsom, on Saturday, February 3. The programme provides for
maiden pacers, any age, maiden trotters, maiden pacers, three and four-year-olds only, two-year-old mile trial, and an open handicap race for novice drivers and registered stable hands (whips not allowed). The two-year-old event will serve as a test for youngsters engaged in the Trotting Stakes next month. Entries for all events will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday with Air. A. G. Dowries.
