DUNEDIN SEASON OPENS WELL. Competition was exceedingly good for all grades of rabbitskiius offered at the first monthly sale of the 1040 season held by Palgety and Company, Limited, at Dunedin this week. Values showed an appreciation on last quotations. The offering comprised principally summers, springs and milkvs. Quotations: —Small, 12% d to Kid per lb; runnel's, 10' id to •20Vjc1: racks. 2GM-d to 2nd: summciv, 2(ul to 30*£ d: summer broken. 26% d to 32l~<l; milky, 20'Tid to 37d; spring buck«. 40V£d to 53d: spring does. to 3Gd; winter bucks. 71 d to 80d: winter does, 4ld to 40d; blacks. LSd to lS%d: fawns, 20d to 23(1; hnrcskins, 16% d to lOVid: horsehair, lGd to 25d; outgoing bucks, 55d to 50d; outgoing docs, SS'lid to 40d.
