HEAVY TOMATO SUPPLY. DESSERT APPLES IN DEMAND. GLUT CONDITIONS KOK POTATOES. There was a good demand for wellcolouied dfK.sert n.ppW at to-day'm City Markets, but small and green fruit «old lit low rules*. Very heavy supplies of outdoor tomatoes arrived and »sol(l at low prices, especially for second grade linee. Some lines were practically unsaleable. There was a keen inquiry for peaches, but values fell at to-day's uale. The demand was poor for plums and values fell. The market was heavily supplied with both peaches and plums. Good quality apricots sold well to-<lay. although many linew coming forward were affected with ripe rot. Strawberries were in fair demand. Raspberries were keenly sought after today and values were high. Black currants hlwo sold well. Best quality cherries sold well. The general condition iff the market to-day was very dull. Vegetables. Cabbage was in very heavy supply today, both local and Ohakune. with prices much lower than la«t week.
