MR. W. R. LOCKWOOD.
A resident of Xew Zealand for 07 years, Mr. William Robert Lorkwoni. has died at th? a;e of 88. Born in England Mr. Lock wood worked hie pa* Mge to this country at the ase of 21. and for a long period wae enWed "in the biiildine trade, in the erection of the old grammar schr.nl in Symonds Stre?t. and Ft. AndnwV Church at Cambridge, besides rnanv other buildings. While Mr. Lwkwo.M was often engaged with building in other centres, he made his home in Devnnpnn. marrying Miss Elizabeth Bond, daugnttvof a well-known Xorth Shoro family. They later moved to Mount All-ert. H.M survived by hie wife, and six children.
