FROM BUDAPEST.
JEW APPEALS FOR WORK.
The following application for a position has been received by Nessrs. Newman Bros., motor service and garage proprietors, Nelson, from a Jew in Budapest: "I read your advertisement in the newe and so I know your firm is one of the auto and motor branch. Permit me to offer my services to you, if you would need it. I am 21 yeara old and an ordinary working auto mechanician and driver. I have my graduation degree, and I epeak and write beeidee my native language, English, French and German. I think you have heard about the manner Jews are treated in middle Europe. It is impossible for us to earn our living here. Jews —whatever their job is—are not allowed to work and they could die suffering from hunger without any possibility of being able to show their qualities and their good willing. In case you don't need my services, you know perhaps somebody, maybe one of your friende, who would need a driver or a mechanician. If you anewer my letter and if you demand I ehall send you my certificates which show the experience I have had. Thanking you for your trouble in advance."
