BRIDE IN SILVER BROCADED GOWN.

Six Attendants At Cathedral Wedding. DAWSON—STUDHOLME. At. St. Mary's Cathedral yesterday afternoon the wedding took place of Miss Eftie Diana Stndholme. youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stud holme, Pailiia, Bay of Islands, and Mr. Charlton Edwnrd Dawson, only son of Mr. Charlton Dawson an<l the late Mrs. Dawson, Upland Road, Rem lie ra. The Rev. L. E. Cartridge performed the ceremony and Mr. Edgar Randal played the wedding music. The bride was given away by her father. She wore a. lovely gown of silver brocaded angel skin. The long-sleeved corsage was fashioned with a softly draped cowl neckline, caught at the throat with a spray of orange blossom, and the graceful circular skirt was surmounted by a long, pointed train, the ends of which formed a .knotted sasli round the waist. A long veil of ivory tulle hollowed over her shoulders and was caught in place with a coronet of orange idossoin. A bouquet of white gardenias, water lilies and gypsophlia was carried. Attractive Attendants. The l»ride4mai<ls were Miss Elfie Reetl (Bay of Islands). Miss Patricia Dawson, sister of the bridegroom. Miss Carlisle Studholme (South Canterbury), cousin of the bride, and three younger attendants were June and Juliet Deans and Susan Mill, nieces of the bride. The bridesmaids were dressed alike in frocks of deep cream chiffon over taffeta. The long-sleeved bodices were knotted in the front and outlined ,at the neck with a row of pearls. The circular skirts were fashioned «t the back with threequarter length floating panels shirred at the waistline.

The three younger attendants also wore frocks of ivory chiffon, the filll skirts of which were shirred from the yoke, which was outlined with tiny frills. Flower head-dresses in delicate tonings were worn bv all six bridesmaids and bouquets of mixed flowers in the same tonings were carried.

Supporting the bridegroom was Mr. Tom Burns, as best man. Acting as ushers at the church were Lieutenant M. P. Studholme, Mr. Richard Rainger, Mr, Roy Merritt and Mr. John Carpenter. v Reception At . Hobsonville. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Douglas Mill, at Windover, Hobsonville. Mrs. Studholme received her guests wearing a gown of black French triple georgette with centre front gauging and long sleeves finished with pasteltoned sequinned gauntlet cuffs. Her picture hat' of black straw was edged with black Chant illy lace and trimmed with French pastel-coloured flowers. A bouquet to tone was earned. Mrs. Douglas Deans (Canterbury), sister of the bride, wore a black French printed silk frock and a black picture hat. Mrs. Douglas Mill was in a frock of pale mauve and green floral stiffened ninon. Witli it she wore a small white straw and corded silk hat.
