SYDNEY, this day.

The New Zealand Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, who arrived by the flying boat Aotearoa, stated that New Zealand would be happy to have any flying boat service linking her with Australia, even if it ran only once a week. He hoped it would not be long before a regular service was begun.

Mr. Jones will return to New Zealand within a few days. He said he welcomed the chance of defence talks in Australia.

Yesterday he had a long conversation with the Attorney-General. Mr. W. M. Hughes.
